Threads of superior quality

Be it 100% cotton, metallic or wool the Aurifil threads are strong with superb silky appearance and intense colours. They are very easy to work with being smooth threads and are appreciated by novice as well as expert stitchers.

Cottons

Three varieties of threads are available:

• Allegro: the thinnest, used for cross stitching, bobbin lace...
• Vivace: slightly thicker, equivalent to a very thin pearled cotton, ideal for the woven bars of Hardanger work
• Maestoso: equivalent to pearled cotton n°8. Also widely used for Hardanger.

All of these are colourfast up to 60°C and are available in 256 colours including 34 variegated shades.

Metallic thread

Brillo is a very popular metallic thread because it is easy to use, which is not the case for a lot of metallic threads! Brillo is supple but strong and available in a superb range of 32 shades.

Fine wool

Lana is a wool thread ideal for traditional embroidery, cross stitching and crochet as well as felt projects. It is available in 192 shades.
